canderson Posted yesterday at 11:39 AM Author Share Posted yesterday at 11:39 AM 54 was the low. We’re off to NYC for a theater weekend - I’m not happy about the pouring rain Saturday but it’s needed so whatever.

ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 01:50 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:50 PM Another mild day before showers arrive late tonight and lasts through much of tomorrow. Most spots could see between 0.25" to 0.50" of rain but higher in any thunderstorms. Much cooler on Sunday before a nice warming trend with a couple of spots touching 80 degrees by Tuesday. Itstrainingtime Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:30 PM Nice to see that the amount of rain expected has held steady or even increased somewhat for the incoming frontal passage. Some lucky spots will get over 1" by this time tomorrow. And then comes some wind for a change on Sunday. Gusts to 40 mph.

Voyager
So far 0.00" in the rain gauge... That's actually a lie. I got a couple periods of good rain overnight, but I suppose something got into the bucket again that is preventing it from tipping. Need to go check it out once it gets light out. Looking at the three stations nearby that surround me, two north and east got 0.34 and and 0.33 respectively, and one to the west got 0.50, so I'll guess somewhere around 0.40 for me until I can look at it, and maybe get it to tip.
Voyager
So, the tipper was stuck in the tipped position, which allowed the rain to run through the bucket without being measured.

My sister lives in Caledonia area and has been really nervous. The fire has been pushing north and west but the winds are supposed to switch the west and northwest which would push the fire the other way toward her. Hopefully all this moisture helps to ease things. Still some more rain to come.

Jns2183
Big wildfire around King Gap (Cumberland County) Has burned all day. Now evacuation orders This new environment is awful. Fire ants will be within 5 years and trust me you want nothing to do with them. They’re evil. I will say as a 15 year + plus kid I loved going down south to my cousins. My cousin was closest thing to a genius I ever knew who actually seemed kinda normal. Kid got 1 wrong on SAT and ended up valedictorian at the Air Force academy. In high school him his dad loved making rockets and I do mean big big rockets. Richmond that is dad's in all came into having some of the most ridiculous high octane fuels in explosive chemicals I ever saw in person. We had fun pouring lots of fun stuff down fire ant colonies while combining dynamite and other explosives in chain reaction. It was all good until we were a bit too daring and ended up with a massive crater is Dad put at 300 to 500 lb of TNT power to make. So we next switch to point Moulton Meadows down and making casts out of them which was even cooler if I have to say. ChescoWx
So far today we have picked up as much as 0.26" of rain at West Chester with lesser amounts across Southern Chester County. Here in East Nantmeal we have received 0.21" of rain. Rain will continue this morning with a chance of some heavier showers as a cold front crosses from west to east this PM. Rain should end by late afternoon. We will turn cooler tomorrow with temperatures not too far from average levels in the lower 60's. We then see a nice warm up through midweek with highs well into the 70's by Tuesday. Rain chances increase again by Thursday night.
