19 degrees this morning. Wasn’t quite expecting temperatures that low.

Thinking today is definitely going to be first mow day today. End of the week is looking wet.

Was looking at next week and they are still calling for 30 mph wind gusts. :axe:

This morning was the coldest April morning here in East Nantmeal 25.8 and across much of the area in a little over 9 years since the 24.5-degree low back on April 6, 2016. We will continue with below normal temperatures for the rest of the week before we warm near or above normal by early next week. Some beneficial rain is on the way to closing out the work week with rain arriving late tomorrow and lasting until Saturday. We could see over an inch of rain is many spots.

Good morning all.  My low this morning was a frigid 23.5 degrees.  That temperature was 53 degrees colder than it was at 10:00pm several nights ago when it was a very pleasant (but unseasonable) 75.4 degrees.  We've been all over the place during this first 9 days of April.  My highest temp last week was 81.1 degrees.  I've missed out on the really heavy rains thus far.  So far this month I've recorded 1.33" total, and YTD I'm at 5.58", which is about 50% of where I should be YTD.

This morning's 6z GFS gives the western LSV region 4 to 8" of snow early Easter morning.  At 10:1 it gives DC 17"!!  Now wouldn't that be something to talk about in the future?!  Finally, my recordable snow season ended back on February 15th.  There was no measurable snowfall for the rest of February AND the entire month of March!

Same here regarding snow - nothing since 2/15. My seasonal total of 15.1" falls almost perfectly in the middle of MU's winter forecast of 10-20".

I'm right there with you with a season total of 14.9" which is more than 100% below seasonal averages for this region.  Ridiculous.

Why does it seem like western ridge/eastern trough patterns seem to last for weeks, but once said ridge moves east, it's transient, and the cold, unsettled trough pattern returns?

After the rainstorm, we get two nice days in the 60's before a return to a 49 degree high next Wednesday again.

Our snow deficit was not due to a lack of cold this season.

MDT had Below normal temperatures from December through February.

The lack of meaningful precip limited our snow chances.

We never had a moisture laden storm attack the numerous cold air masses.

Despite the lack of good snow totals, as many have mentioned, we still did have a lengthy period of snow cover due to the sustained cold for several weeks.
