But when southerly winds start howling, all bets are off. There was a period of time yesterday afternoon when I was feeling a lot of anxiety. Never felt that way in any of the windiest "cold direction" wind events. S/SE winds don't really impact me here much at all, whereas the W/NW ones have caused a lot of damage. My next house will be made of concrete and facing E with a giant berm to block W winds. I'm not even joking!
Superstorm
Ended up with 0.76" of rainfall here in the Willow Street area of Lanco. Man, those winds were howling yesterday.
pawatch
1.37 where Williamsport does their readings, which was a record for that day. I had 1.09” here at the house, lots of people without power yesterday. Today cold and windy.

AccuChris
An under-performer yesterday here in Lebanon. The line had a hard time making to the east of the river and we didnt even measure our first precip until about 9PM! Even the short range meso-models were well overdone for eastern counties as I ended with only 0.56” in the bucket.
Voyager
Maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I didn't think today would be so cloudy, chilly, and raw outside. Temp keeps dropping and is now down to 44 degrees.

AccuChris
The 12z Euro also showed a major storm at the end of the run to close out March.Sadly, the GFS has been awful this winter with rumored storms that never happened. Probably printed out close to 100” of virtual snow for me but my season is at around 22” in reality.

Lol, this GFS run basically has us scoring 3 touchdowns after the 2 minute Warning to save our snow totals for the season. I’d be thrilled to see one more solid Advisory snow event.

There is nothing highlighted for day 8 yet but the spc discussion peeked my interest. On Monday, the trough is forecast to move eastward across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, as a cold front advances quickly toward the Atlantic Seaboard. Thunderstorms with an isolated severe threat willbe possible along and near the front during the afternoon, but predictability is low concerning the timing of the front, and its associated trough. Nope On Monday and Tuesday, the mid-level trough is forecast to move into the eastern U.S., as a cold front advances southward to near the Gulf Coast. Although isolated storms could develop in the southern Gulf Coast states, limited large-scale ascent is expected to be problematic concerning an organized severe threat. I had said back in September that I was going to keep a tally of digital snow vs ground truth this winter. Waiting patiently to post the final numbers, but I'll just say now that the 100" number you threw out there is actually too low.
