Shit totally missed that spin up. Great warning by LOT

Yeah it was right by a buddy of mine in Elgin. I caught it last minute while watching other cells everywhere.

Didn’t look impressive velocity wise but was surprised seeing the cc drop

Area siren deployment strikes again.

Looks like they went to update the Tor Warning to say the threat had moved on and the warning would expire at 12:15, and someone took it as a new Tor Warning for all of DuPage and Kendall county.

A MCD for the ages. The sentence about the data being consistent with other historic dixie outbreaks is about as close as you'll see to them saying "yeah the parameters are matching 4/27 and 4/3 for MS AL!" Among the most aggressive discussions.

A fair amount of wind reports into southern Wisconsin last night, one pretty close to me although I didn't notice anything too intense, must have been a quite localized gust. Didn't even see/hear any lightning/thunder. I think there was a heavier cell that moved north-northwest through Rock into south-central/southeastern Dane County that was probably responsible for most of those reports.

@madwx You see anything?

The QLCS ended up hitting here at home between 11:45-11:50PM last night.

Ended up with peak wind gusts of 60-65MPH. A weak MV also passed just about overhead as well and there were numerous others across the metro area/NE IL. If a bit more moisture/instability had bit in place, things could have been more fun. We likely would have seen numerous QLCS tornadoes in the area in that case, and a much more significant event region-wide.

Pretty wild day so far. Woken up by boomers at 7am. Saw a storm pop up right overhead and gust easily to 50mph a little bit ago. Warmth feels good. Some warned storms coming into the state currently. Lots of low clouds racing by. Gotta luv spring storm systems, unfortunately it comes with wedges further south. You hate to see them occur at night.
