I've been hearing dead trees coming down. Kinda scary but it's not my first time. That's always a fun sound when biking lol. My head is also on a swivel when biking the watershed ever since I saw a black bear scurry across Hamburg road.

Decent line about to move through. So I just got back from my trip up to Carlisle. Rain and wind all the way down Rt. 15. Got to the exit for 340 and hit that line. Dumped buckets and caused minor ponding all along Ballenger Creek Pike. Back home and my station is at .54”.

I stopped as Mama and TWO of the cubs ran over the hill, but the third cub climbed a tree and started crying not 20 feet away from me. I never said, " No no no no no! " with such conviction! 1

I hiked South Mountain on the coldest day of the winter. I was alone and it was extremely quiet. It was only 0-5 degrees so I felt safe being up there alone. The wind is still ripping. Not much rain yet bet it's coming.

Damn, that's a dicey situation lol. Mama bears are no joke. Catoctin blue is legit...I like riding the Blue to VW/Knucklebuster loop, and when I feel like torturing myself I'll ride up Three Saws and down Catovid. Fun trails there...my bike is currently in the shop (spring cleaning).

Was driving and legit thought I was gonna have to pull over for a second. Even the winds earlier must've been relatively strong. Was playing for an Ash Wednesday service and the power went out right in the middle! (Good thing we had a regular upright piano that still kinda works, lol)
