23 approaching 9pm.

Cranked up the wood stove. Probably the last time this winter/early Spring.

No way! I've got a goofy pile of cut-offs and miscellaneous that's getting beetles, and I want it gone before Spring, but I'm slightly fearful that we'll run out of Winter before I run out of wood.  Mostly holly and red maple from storm damage.

The tidal South River froze over again this morning. Looks thin, but is bank-to-bank. Impressive for March.

Low of 20f both yesterday and today.

DCA a non radiating disgrace again, off by 5-10 degrees from Andrews and Annapolis and others.

Hopefully NOAA kick in the ass gets this fixed. I know the facility itself does not care as they have always proclaimed they are FAA and not NWS.  It’s a gross inaccuracy for the Nations Capitol station however the excuses roll out

DCA got down to 30.  The surrounding weather stations near the river were mostly 28/29.  In fact, the PWS at Buzzard Point had a low of 30.

Andrews and Annapolis were 5-9 degrees lower .  Your response is unsupportable. Do you not get that Annapolis is close to a much larger and deeper body of water? Andrews 8 miles to ese?

Again, we are talking about representativeness, not accuracy.  DCA is accurate, but not representative of the vast majority of the DC-area population.  There's nothing to be "fixed".  You are free to use Andrews or IAD or BWI for your temperatures.

I have mine going now.  So dry in my house I just started leaving pot of water on it to try and humidify things.  Seems to raise the humidity in the house about 5% but that's the most it can do. Better than nothing I guess.

WJLA is saying wednesday might feel humid, I'm gonna have all the windows open that day.
