Pretty impressive early season pollen situation. One of the courts I was going to shoot around at on my lunch break was littered with pollen (so I didn’t stick around very long) and so was my car this morning.

There we go, 80 for the third consecutive day.  Morch it is.

Incredible. Even without today factored in, March 2025 was certainly one for the record books in the DC area with high temperatures only exceeded once (2012) since 1946! If you are younger than 79, you have only lived through one warmer March [measured by mean daily high temperature].

Washington, DC
Rank Year Mean Max Temperature

2 1921 66.7
3 2012 66.4

Wow. Radar really popped. It looks like some good rains up near Fredrick. The radar off to the SW also looks juicy. Someone is going to get 2-3" .

I am just SW of the city. Currently sitting right outside of that cell. All dark but am just missing out. Hope it slightly shifts South.

ETA it just shifted and rain has started.

It took its sweet time, but it’s pouring here now.

Yeah that was an aggressive downpour. Sitting outside my third floor apt, and you could hear the roar of the downpour hitting the metal rooftops as it approached. I expected hail, but just rain.

Yea, nice (and needed) rainer with some T&L, but nothing severe so far.

Gonna be 1-2” amounts around here, I think, when all is said and done.

Local rain gauges already showing 1”+ amounts. This is one of the more legit rain events I’ve seen since I moved to Frederick. Radar still showing activity to the southwest and the thunder is booming. 2” is within reach.
