dailylurker
Oh, look! It's windy as hell again. I can't remember a month with this much wind. We can't get over a half inch of rain but we can get 50 mph winds 3-4 days out of the week. 4
BlizzardNole
Only about 0.20 after getting just 0.15 from the last rain chance. Now more howling wind for the next two days!
wxdude64
Currently 33.4/22.0, least the winds have backed off in last hour to gusting in upper 20's. Had sprinkles/flurries overnight, just enough blown into corners and around objects to know it happened.

Had to duct tape the trashcan/recycle lids the entire month.

Here's how many hours a wind gust has been recorded at a Maryland Mesonet station over a certain value so far this month. Most of the state has had gusts>= 30 mph at least 5-10% of the time this month. 1

We're thinking that when it rained last night water got into the cable somehow and was either shorting it or causing a ton of noise on the rail. Our tech went up and replaced the cable and everything came back as normal.

Probably enhanced by differential heating- the bay is cold and the strong sun this time of year heats the land(esp with dry soil) very efficiently.
