Mesonet shows 42 at Ridgely. I was questioning my temp sensor but its not far off. I'm 3 miles NE of there and skies are clear with just a light NE breeze and I am in the middle of nowhere. Probs legit.

If you are in the lower elevations near the choptank or you are surrounded by fields you could make up that 3F easy with just radiational cooling.

Yeah it radiates very well here. No UHI anything, just lots of farm fields separated by some wooded areas.

29.1 this morning, 75.4 this afternoon. I've been to Ely, NV several times in the summer and this reminds me of being there with the dry air and incredible diurnal spread.

Just glanced at Canaan NWR, they have done FOUR 50+ degree swings in last four days! I thought my 40 degree swing was a lot!

@mappy you're absolutely correct. Another beautiful day. A perfect 40 degree spread - 32.9/72.9. @wxdude64 I took my Dad to the Canaan NWR Sunday morning just to show him the Canaan Valley and there was still about 4-6 inches on the ground. He was amazed at how much more snow otg there than where I live in Garrett County. Such beautiful country.

Just got back from Lewisburg, still some snow in the 'slots' west of Covington to WV line on I-64 facing north. They have decreased a good bit in last week, but still a foot plus in many. There was as much as 3-4 foot in them back in mid Feb after the 12-15 inches that fell here. Funny seeing snow with 60's and 70's (currently 72.4/37.0 at 5 pm) last few days, reminds me of Colorado or Wyoming in June.
