87storms
The cold air clouds are rolling through now. It’s impressive how such a relatively low mountain chain like the Catoctin’s can enhance the cloud deck. It happens frequently when the wind shifts out of the nw…La Nina’s favorite pattern.

I've been humbled by those short mountains. It is amazing how the effect the clouds. Even out my way we get wavy cloud leftovers.

IronTy
What an awesome day. I cut down about 35 tulip trees to get ready for moth season and also did a ton of trimming. Was nice to get all that done without breaking a sweat.

Yeah , was figuring it wasn’t you - just terrible that anything has sparked with dry conditions and this kind of wind.
mattie g
We lost power for 5-6 hours with the last wind event. Really don’t feel like going through that again, but at least we have a generator if it does.

MN Transplant
If this were early winter or pre-storm, we would be talking about how impressive a temperature drop this was. I’m down 35 degrees from my 11am high. Got a second surge of wind at about 8pm too.
adelphi_sky
It got up to 67 at the beach. I had to go. The warm sun. Thrasher's Fries. It was calling me. Started getting chilly after 4:30pm. Was in the 30s by the time I got home.
WEATHER53
Mega Front Statement First the criteria -Recorded from my station and does not include summer thunderstorms One hour drop 12 degrees or more . Three hour drop of 20 or more 6 hour drop of 30 or more 12 hour drop of 40 or more 24 hour drop of 50 or more . Today I was 65 at 2pm then 47 at 5pm(dnq) then 34 at 8pm which qualifies .and now 31 at 10pm. Going to be tough to get to 25 by 2am to qualify Anyone else got a breakdown of how it went for them? Was still 50 at 4pm and then took an additional dive. Still, 65 to the 20s is a tumble.
