Hard to get good LES but spring cooling will never be denied.

It was enjoying the remains of a squirrel in the neighborhood. Those are some big boys. Yes they are. I came over a hill while driving last year and there were 6 digging into a small deer. My little Integra was surrounded by these giant birds leaping into the air in a panic. Thought I drove into Jurassic park for a minute. I've always been fascinated by them because of the way they fly and how big they are. They're one of the largest birds you'll encounter around these parts with wingspans of 5-7ft. Interestingly they won't bother with anything thats been dead longer than 48 hours. So if you see them eating something technically you could still eat it (with some definite high temp cooking lol). They can smell a freshly dead mouse under a leaf from a 1k feet up. I grew up in southern CA and when I was a kid we would lay down out in a field and not move and within a couple of minutes a couple of Western Vultures would cruise over. We we're convinced they were gonna come down and pick our bones like some old Spaghetti Western movie lol. They are an amazing bird and they are protected.
