The blizzard has begun in Palisades Tahoe and at Mammoth Mountain!

If you Be Jonesing For Snow, You Know Where To Go!

It's amazing how much water is supposed to fall on the Sierra! That, is a METRIC TON, of torrential snow!

They have at least 2 inches of pow and massive refills are underway! They should pile up at least three feet of freshies in the next couple of days!

Unbelievably HUGE aggregates looking to be nearly TWO INCHES IN DIAMETER, are ASSAULTING Mammoth right now! This thing is a BEAST! It may dump 4 to 5 feet of fresh pow just by noon Thursday! They got more tomorrow then yet another potent system Sun night on into Monday!

I don't know why but Mammoth STILL has their Main Lodge lights on even at 4.09am Texas time! That snow is just demolishing that mountain!

It POURED snow last night at Mammoth. They kept the lights on til 5am Texas time, and I danced around for JOY because I got to see those HUGE 2 inch plus aggregates pour down all night long! That huge snow was the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed in my entire life! Those yuge flakes simply poured and poured down for hours and hours and I got to see every last one! They got annihilated with 30 inches of new snow! It's STILL pouring snow even now! I blasted ELO all damn night long last night! They got another blockbuster snow comin Sunday night into Monday and even more later on! The Pac is setting up a massive parade of storms and Mammoth is gonna get buried alive by snow!

It is hard to believe but Mammoth is STILL getting hit by snow! The Main Lodge lights are still on, too! Snow is blowing around, you can even see it at the Village level as well. Even MOAR snow is coming Friday, to the tune of 12 inches of fine champaign pow! The weather currently at Mammoth is a refreshing 11 degrees, with a victorious wind chill of -2. Mammoth Mtn is simply piling up the snow with lots of free refills and incredible stashes all over, but watch out for tree wells off piste! The snow is over 17 feet deep in places! Sunday night and Monday will bring even more torrential snows, as will late next week! The Pacific is lining up a terrific set of storms, hopefully we can get a few bona-fide atmospheric rivers along the way!

Mammoth is under snow attack yet AGAIN today!

They have had 41 inches so far in the past 2 days! 30 inches 2 nights ago and 8 inches more yesterday then 3 inches last night. They are getting another 8 to 12 inches today! Champaign powder is simply piling up as snow immersion hazards increase! Next up on the Docket: Yet another major snowstorm in the set for Sunday night thru Tuesday!

Yeah definitely mixed emotions if it happens (or if it doesn't happen) I mean he is a strange player--so good in the regular season that he helps get you to the playoffs, then disappears or chokes everytime (although I won't hold 2023-24 against him because of that injury). I was Lamar's #1 before Likely's emergence (I'd have to imagine Lamar has had at least some input). But man...Andrews having 0 playoff TDs in his whole career, and being responsible for at least two pivotal turnovers during that span (2019 the drop that turned into an INT instead of being in the RedZone, and of course this year with the fumble), all culminating in the drop that lost the game? I think Andrews can have random moments of being a head case with the yips or something. Whatever it is, he's become untrustworthy in the postseason...hurts to say because he's been so good otherwise! But it's true... I have much more confidence in Likely in the playoffs than I do Andrews. Gonna miss him in the regular season though if he leaves! But hopefully the offense being much more well-rounded now would balance that out. Likely would have to step up to be that TE1 though!

Mammoth Resort is in for it again tonight! More snow developing, more than forecast!

Mammoth is receiving moderate to heavy snow, at a time when only 1 to 3 inches of additional snow are expected tonight. I think they are in for 7 to 12 inches of champaign snow tonight. A look at Main Lodge, WHICH IS LIT, shows at least moderate rates. Village Level also evidences moderate to at times heavy rates. I can see at least 4 to 6 inches of snow already on the ground at Village Level just since 4pm local time at Mammoth Resort. Tonight looks to over perform.

Additionally, Woolly Lot is showing some obscuration in wind gusts which are not expected to be considerable tonight. Therefore, snow rates are stronger than forecast. That lot has just been cleared of loose snow which had been 4 to 7 inches deep. I observed this earlier because of kids playing in the snow on the lot very close to the camera.

Lol Maryland

You love trolling MD/DC teams don't ya? Lol

But yeah this is why I'll never believe the Terps in the playoffs no matter how good they are during the regular season. Now I know they still have the big dance, but I'm not expecting much there either. I feel like...they need a Gary Williams coach again. I have my doubts about a postseason Willard.

Lunar eclipse from the other night (Mar. 14).  There was a lot of cloud cover, but fortunately enough breaks to enable me to get a few good shots.  I purposely cropped this with the moon off-center, so that the stars (visible on the right) would be in the photo.

Losers always do this. Typical behavior.
