gopack42
I'm driving back home all day tomorrow, so I hope I can get home before the heavier rain comes. We need it though.
Maggie Valley Steve
I had a high of 82 today. That's late June temperatures, but boy what a change is coming!
Tyler Penland
82.5 here at the house today. Felt like the Wicked Witch of the West screaming "I'm Melting". GFS is wildly close to a snow event next Saturday night into Sunday morning. If a little more moisture gets kicked back west it could get interesting. The Euro is much further off the coast with the developing low and overall a bit warmer.

I didn't think we would get anything significant until about 2 or 3 today. Temps are much more manageable with it being 56 currently.

Maggie Valley Steve
I'm so very thankful we received so much beneficial rain! Everything thing is quickly greening up and our wildfire worries are over! Back to wintertime this week. It's been a couple of years since we've had mid April chances of snow for the higher elevations.
Met1985
Euro looks like several cold shots right to the end of the month. So long 80 degree weather! I still like high elevation chances tonight and into this weekend. I think the models are undergoing the cold air this weekend. I think some may see 1 to 3 inches on grassy surfaces. I hope it stays cool this month. The water temperatures are super high for this time of year due to the dry stretch, Helene destroying the foliage along the banks, and warm temps. Trout are under enough stress already. We need a cool, damp spring.
