Best of luck and God speed! Prepare to be completely disappointed again like the last 5 months. By 0z tonight, it will be back to showing less than a half inch of snow

@Heisy The UKMET looks good?? Huh?? It has nothing. You guys are chasing ghosts again. How many times are you willing to do this over the last 5 months and end up failing??

It’s amazing how you keep signing up for more and more punishment. 2 days ago winter was over and you were bumping skeptical posts saying they were right.

March is still a winter month and gfs doesn't look that warm in the long range anymore.

feel free to name a march ku that happened after a bad winter

Name one that has happened since 1993, and even that one fell short of a foot. And that wasn't really that bad a winter, compared to this one. It's over. Who cares about a car topper or white rain? My hands are cracked, my skin is ashy, I'm done. Let's get a brief shot of spring weather before the cruddy unsafe lung conditions set in for summer. And that's probably asking too much.

Wasn't 92-93 not that good for the coast before the Superstorm?

We had a couple decent events and one very good one in Feb, followed by an incredibly warm day the next day. Still remember the music teacher being amazed at how nice it was outside.....he has sadly left us to play in the band upstairs....

Correct only 12.6 inches of snow accumulated for Central Park before receiving 11.9 from the superstorm.

Even with the superstorm Central Park was below average for snowfall.

I highly doubt metfan has any confidence in the GFS output, he's just a weenie at heart that's all.

like any other possible snow event - need more then 1 model and at least 1 models ensemble members consistent with it for at least a couple of days to even consider it.......models are still arguing with each other and even with themselves run to run - but its still fun to post these model runs with blizzards - GFS is King of the long range imaginary Blizzards - what was weird about the storm a couple of weeks ago was the EURO was the first to show an imaginary Blizzard many days in advance..BUT the GFS did not
