The EPS is correcting warmer now closer to St.Patricks Day as the blocking is linking up with the Southeast Ridge. So we are finally shifting into more of a spring pattern. As the cool downs behind the fronts become weaker and the warm ups stronger.

It throws LGA onto ILS 13 which crosses the final for the 22s at EWR atop TEB which effectively stops TEB traffic

That is why they almost never use it!

I can remember living back in Long Beach in the old days when the Concorde would fly over just after 9am every morning heading into JFK. Now that was really loud. But you got used to it in Long Beach and it was pretty cool.

I have pictures of that from 2003! It would fly over my house around 8:43 am every morning! I saw them parked near Rockaway Blvd too with their crooked nose!

Who knows, maybe it will return one day.....

I had several friends in the airline business when I lived in Long Beach. The West End had plenty of flight crews renting apartments close to JFK. It’s a really great lifestyle if you really enjoy traveling and seeing the world.

For people knowledgeable about air traffic delays etc. for tomorrow due to winds - I got a kid flying in tomorrow at ~7 PM to LGA.  Winds aloft (850) look stiff, around 40kts at that time, but 10M winds are down to around 10ish - seemingly a lull between overnight/morning winds, and the wind again picking up Saturday.  Any threat in terms of delays with these conditions?  Winds are out of the west n. west. it appears.

Appreciate any thoughts...

I live by TEB.  Departures on 4L and arrivals on 22L don't seem to really screw with TEB traffic.  My house is directly under those two EWR flight paths and hear and see TEB take off's and landings with EWR traffic above me.    TEB departures on 6 look like rockets being shot out of residence roofs they keep them so low.

Got some bulbs popping through by my house, believe they're krocuses

My crocus are up about an inch and a half already.  Everything else has just popped through with the thaw, including hyacinth, daffodil, and tulip.  Won't be long now and last night's rains were much needed and welcomed.

LGA will probably stay on land 22 depart 31 for today. If the winds get stronger earlier than forecast single runway ops on 31 are possible. But that is not forecast til overnight hours
