For those with sun and the warmth…we wish we were you.  Sucks here.

It's okay  -

it's not exactly "warm".   I guess relative to seasonal normal you'd have to say that, but the sun's been shining for an hour... it's just now 60.

I wonder if this inconsistency and violent swings is an indicator that we may be headed towards much warmer times. We've been in what has been a seasonably cold pattern through the winter with some warmer periods in March which were really driven by intense central Plains cyclones. But this may be a signal that the hemisphere is rapidly going through the seasonal transition and for us that would be warmer times. Of course there will be local influences which screw us (BDCF, any cutoff low potential).

I would add to this (btw) poignant observation ... that the entire winter has been a fractal suppression event.

Fractals appear like fixed structures in nature but given enough time, prove to be randomly re-enforcing patterns.  This last winter looking like this,

and or a variation that's similar ( I realize this only Jan but it's on my desk top) ...suspiciously qualifies a randomly re-enforcing ordeal.

Need to be careful there as it’s using 51-80 climo base.

I can't deny this.  I am a big pizza fan, and it wasn't until 15 or so years ago that I had my first New Haven pizza.  Everything else doesn't come close....Except for Eastern Mass bar pizza.  Back when Town Spa pizza in Stoughton was good, that was my favorite.  A few other south shore pizza joints like Cape Cod were awesome as well, but New Haven beats them all...The big 3... Pepe's, Sally's and, Modern.

Side note, Greeks should stick to  Baklava, and keep away from the pizza ovens.

I love bar pizza. Alumni Cafe in Quincy is another one.

CoastalWx, whatta loser this guy is! He thinks global warming is real when, frankly, it's not. Trust me, I know more than these lunatic scientists!

It snowed in the deep south so it's not real.

Would like to be able to compare that to other climo periods too...would be interesting.

At some point using terms like "below average" are going to mean nothing really. At some point below average temperatures in winter for us will be above freezing lol.

No clue what it’s seeing . The low doesn’t even close off. That may be a timer in terms of bust so close in . 6-9” and won’t see a flake

Develops convection to the south and brings it up as the cold moves in..

Perhaps, but just using it to make a point that we were colder than just about the whole world, scalar anomaly aside - in principle that's true

Just an utterly enabling persistence, too ... perfectly designed to enhance disbelief.  haha

Who gives a flying shit…it’s a cycle. Nobody is losing any sleep over this stupid nonsense anyways.   It will snow, it will get cold..it was cold this year..plenty cold to keep the little snow we had around. So that’s good enough for me.  So stick CC up your ass.
