That pack is deep and cold but the streams and drainages need to go somewhere… just sometimes not in their channels. I figured it might have absorbed that and the melt water, interesting. Yeah for the most part it did. There are just some prominent drainages that can blow out in high rainfall rates. It poured for a time last night, like 0.20"/hr rainfall can get some of the drainages going and it's all ice dammed up. A patroller took this of like a 15 foot debris pile at the bottom of a steep gully. The steep waterfall type terrain blows out first. 5 1

SouthCoastMA
What a snoozer of a pattern lately, and beyond. I guess the consolation could be a few days in 60's over the next couple weeks? I'll believe it when I see it at this point. Touched 53 day with cloudy skies and everything still wet. Meh 1
CoastalWx
Should really blow tomorrow. Might be a pulse between 6-10a or so and then another late day into the evening perhaps. Still strong in between though. 2

Warmest temps of the period right now. Thursday isn't over guy. If you want I can draw a line for you, if it isn't clear enough for just north of PWM, DAW, MHT. On track unless you're staring at the piles. Stake is at 4" at sunset (I am quite literally PWM). 1

Typhoon Tip
NAM has d(t) of 14C between 980 and 800 mb over logan at 18z, so about 7C per 90mb. That's a bit steeper than standard adiabat so the mixing should be efficient. It's only put 31kts sustained at mid BL tho, so... good lapse rate at least
