Not sure all this snowpack loss talk… I don’t even remember that many winters when I was younger we had endless March snowpack down here. Sun is strong average high around 40.   Some people just like to point the obvious I guess. Unless we get big snow in March ala 2013/2017/2018/2023 we never hold pack much past March 1st anyway.  Up the road above 1500’ is another story.

Yes, a very nice refresher.  My buddies arrived last night at the cabin…says it’s heavy and 9 degrees. I’ll be there mid week. Have a great day with lava rock, and enjoy.

It’s pretty simple. Maybe your long term memory is shot?

 

I had a 4” LE snow/ice pack a week ago. It will be bare ground by ~3/6. 

 

If I had average temperatures and even zero additional snowfall from here, it would take to end of the month or even to mid April to eliminate that pack. That’s common sense.

 

Yea it’s been a big shift around here, especially vs the Jan/feb temperatures we’ve seen. It’s noteworthy.

Nothing really worth mentioning. Still keep an eye on next weekend but nothing exciting really overnight. Spring cleaning begins today. I already have some plants coming up in sunny spots.

I'm ready to wrap it up.  Time to look foward a couple months and the start of boating/fishing season.  Another few weeks and Kevin will be firing up the lawn thread.

I’ve tried over the winter to pick up as many branches and sticks as I could on the snow. But once that last icestorm hit a ton blew down and frozen into pack. That’ll be a relief to get cleaned up once this melts next week

Most will be gone today. Just a few patches left here and those are disappearing quicker than Aaron Judge in the post season.

Even though I think we are going to be mild in the long range, the NAO is deciding to show up.  No chance of frozen with the Pacific like that, but ass mist chances increase. Thanks winter 24-25.

Raw morning with ice covered ground leading to still iced over lake. Probably the last weekend of ice fishing here.  Dock in by Early April.
