Wasn’t so much Steined as it was bad tracks, and bad fortune…just south cleaned up. Way south killed it. When we needed confluence we couldn’t get it.  When we didn’t want it..there it was.  When we needed the PV to phase in…she ran away.  When we needed it to retreat some it was squashing us and everything.   We had the cold for a long while…but there was always a Fly in the ointment, keeping most everything from doing business with us this year.

I'll stick with Steined but, yeah there are a myriad of reasons why mid-winter kinda sucked. Most resulting in dry when it was snowing well south

6 straight weeks of an actual winter here, so that’s been fun.  Plus some December cold and snow,  

I need at least 15 inches to get close to normal though.

A few weeks of ice on my driveway doesn't warrant a C...though you didn't get porked as badly as I did......AGAIN.

Considerably below 50% here BTW.  I know snowfall sucked but it was much colder than many previous and "felt" seasonable. I'd give this winter a C- if it ended now.

I couldn't give a rat's scrotum about the cold....believe it or not, I'm not too enamored with the notion of the PV queefing in my face while New Orleans gets a larger storm than I could muster all winter. That is supposed to improve the grade?? While you're at it, perhaps ma nature could throw in a round of testicular cancer for me and I'll nudge the grade up to a B.

I mean Feb was enjoyable, but I'd rather have one huge storm in a sea of warmth if I'm getting 50% of average.

Agreed, give me Jan 22 and let the rest of the winter be 50 degrees. I’d much rather that, than scraping together 15” over 8 events

Yea. It’s a rat. I get the feel and aura that’s it looked like winter for most of the region but in the end, for me, it’s about total snowfall - the impact of the events - when they occurred. A season without a >4” event has no impact and when most of the them occurred overnight, even worse.

Yeah, Northampton was pretty snow bound a week ago.  Glacial mounds everywhere.  
Today began the melt, but Greenfield is still full on water rich snowpack.

You were saying you had 5 foot banks on your driveway, isn't that good? PF doesn't get 2-foot snowstorms, he nickels and dimes his way to 10 feet.

The cold and snow cover most of the winter I give it a C. At least it looked and felt like winter. I understand not getting a decent storm makes it suck but it wasn't a ratter, hey we could score a big one in March and change all our minds, a little.
