Rain to heavy paste. We thought that was the end of the epic winter as 50s and 60 closed out the month, then April 96 walked in the door

All snow and a lot of it where I was in Brockton. I think 14” or so. CF was just to my east for a lot of it.

3/12/05 was underrated over the interior too. We had almost a foot of snow in that. Huge bust as only like 3-6” was forecasted.

March '05 was fun, an all-out blizzard for an hour/two on the south shore.

No the flash freeze event was a few days earlier on 3/8/05. That’s the one that had massive winds too. 
 

The 3/12/05 event was basically an advisory event that busted positively into a big warning event. It was essentially a really juiced inverted trough with the low going offshore but the upper support was hanging back and we just pounded snow almost all day. I think we ended up with 11” or so when 3-6 was the forecast the night before.

Was it more of an Eastern area special? Also, I'm still wondering if you know the date of the storm after 3/5/01 that caused my family and I to miss our flight from BDL because it took like 4 hours to get there. I'm guessing it was maybe around the 10th?

who would have thought it would take two weeks of non-stop windchills to get me to understand all you life-long mindset of "snow is pretty but spring is for March" and looking forward to Spring... (now watch Mother Nature keep me cold wedged and snowed in til May out of pure spite)

3/12/05 started as rain here…but flashed to snow around 9-10 am here…they let us out of school early cuz it went crazy.  Busses and cars stuck everywhere.  Was a great event that wasn’t supposed to be much.

Not in New England it isn’t…get used to it. March can be ferocious…and any nice weather is soon gone after a short stint, and April sucks most of the time.

Almost two years ago, we had epic amounts of snow. This is our driveway after having been plowed several times. He just gave up and brought in the front loader.
