Had about a half inch total yesterday and this morning but even with temps in the upper 20s and full cloud cover it started to disappear even while it was still snowing a bit. An hour later it was all, and I mean all, gone. Even in the spots shaded by bushes and buildings. That late February sun angle is no joke. I have no doubt we sacrificed an inch+ to the sun even yesterday. It’s why I put my snow board in the shaded side of the house

Stayed cloudy and temps in the mid 20's and yet all the ice on the cars were gone except close to the bottom and on the tires on the northside. Roads were dry and clear by noon. However, ice remained on the trees.
yotaman
Had a high of 31 just after midnight. Low of 25. Picked up .15" last night before ice closed the bucket. Had around 1/4" of ice give or take. Just flurries in the afternoon.

I saw a listing for $8M No kidding! There’s a new neighborhood going up right beside our neighborhood and the houses start at $4.5 million. Since there’s still a lot of construction going on the gates are open during the day, so I drove in once and was blown away at how nice they were. I love the neighborhoods ITB, but the new houses in North Raleigh are incredible.

NorthHillsWx Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM Author Share Posted yesterday at 01:07 PM 18.4 last night. No water on my road to refreeze but I’m sure there are slick spots. Beautiful morning but our snow is going to get zapped

olafminesaw Posted yesterday at 02:46 PM Share Posted yesterday at 02:46 PM Near zero dewpoints last night, which is increasingly unusual as we head into March. Single digit dew points occur just over 10% of the time in late February

NorthHillsWx
Welp. Snow is nuked. Hate watching it melt but at least it was quick. Shady spots should hang on, yesterdays melt froze so it’s gonna be a bit tougher
Frankpc
First post, long time reader … 6 miles NE of RDU on the Wake/Durham line 3” on Wed, another half an inch yesterday. snowinnc
Nooooo!!! We just landed in Seattle, and the first thing I looked at was our ring cameras. 4.2” of snow almost completely gone. I think my son put the snowman he made in the shade, so at least I will have that to see when we get home. Damn sun angle!
