That’s so true, but so sad at the same time. At least we have a lot of snow to take away the sadness from being so sucky.
EarlGrey
Just came in, the snow is nice and powdery for the most part. Highly recommend.

It will be loud with mostly drunk students! I live 5 miles west of the 40/85 split which is basically at a standstill due to all the accidents otherwise I would go. Go Heels!!!
SnowDeac
Still getting flurries and light snow showers in Charlotte after the main band had passed before 4 PM. Think this bodes well for some potential backbuilding around the triangle and further east.

That’s awesome to hear! I gave our four tickets to my good friend who lives in Greensboro, and she said she can’t make it. They’re lower level, so I hope some students will take advantage of them and go crazy! Go Heels!!!

NCBlizzard
3" now at a cozy 24.4°F. As of about 15 minutes ago - at least 30-40% of what is falling is now graupel (I don't think it's quite sleet), perhaps as the DGZ is slowly drying out. Not sure. Beautiful wintry day though. Best in many years.

It's back to snow sleet mix now, hence the bright banding, but that did a number on the weight of the nearly 4 inches that fell just before it flipped. I tried to move some of it out of the driveway and it was pure cement.

EarlGrey
It’s really tapered off here. I’m close to the Chatham county line.
