...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 11 AM EST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to one inch.

* WHERE...Portions of DC, central, north central, and northern
  Maryland, and northern Virginia.

* WHEN...From 7 AM to 11 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The first snow event will fall during the
evening commute, with temperatures well below freezing. This will
likely cause roads to become very slick during a period of high
traffic volume. The second event will impact the Thursday morning
commute, causing roads to once again become slick with surface
temperatures into the upper teens to low 20s.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road
conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by
calling 5 1 1.

Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while
driving. If you are going outside, watch your first few steps taken
on stairs, sidewalks, and driveways. These surfaces could be icy and
slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.

No advisory here.  Lack of societal impact lol.

Per the HWO:

This was issued for areas between the Blue
Ridge and Interstate 95 due to enhanced societal impact during the
morning rush hour.

Anxiously awaiting my 'societal' snow ...

The scary thing is someone typed that and felt compelled to add it to the advisory.

Have you seen how DC/Baltimore area drivers react to 2 snowflakes in the air? Advisory warranted for nothing else than moronic driving. DC area folks will find a way to get into a 15 car pileup on a dry, sunny day. Apocalyptic traffic ensures with 5 drops of rain or a 1-2 snowflakes.
