I honestly thing our best chance at a surprise snow now is something crazy with the ULL pass

Several CAMs are showing a band of snow with the ULL pass midday Thursday.    There is even bit of instability in the forecast soundings, so some heavier bursts of snow certainly seem possible.   And stockage would be very efficient with the very cold temps.

Back in 2009 (which was one of my top analogs to this season and similarly cold but not too snowy) I think it was...there was a situation where we were tracking a threat at a big coastal phased with a cut off ULL for a few days...and it failed...but then some places not too far away from here up in southern PA got like 10" of snow in a few hours from convective bands that set up as the h5 low came through.  Just bringing that up.  lol

I think I got like 8-9" from this living in Philly.

Kind of crazy how the next panel has 0 precip in DC.  You’d think seeing this we were looking at a 2-4” event.

You know what, I don't buy these models. feels like we're gonna get hit. 10% coming through, book it.

I remember there was something like you described a couple days before the 2016 Blizzard but that was mainly around DC. Definitely remember hearing about kids stuck on busses from only an inch.

I remember it well. I walked to a Subway and got a sandwich for dinner. I slipped crossing Viers Mill during rush hour and literally crawled across 2 lanes of traffic to the curb. Fractured my L2 vertebrae and spent the blizzard alternating between being doped up and drunk.

Maybe a slightly further north and more dynamic precip shield then modeled. dc dusting seems plausible tomorrow and again Thursday before the HECS-that PSU-promised finally happens in late Feb early March

You peep the long range thread? Obviously taken with a minuscule grain of salt but that was one of the most weenie gfs runs we’ve had in a long time

What kind of sandwich did you get?

Justin Berk isn't giving up on using this storm for click bait. He says the models are missing something and Annopoils is getting snow tonight woohoo lol

Only thing the models are missing is showing what he wants lol
