I've posted seasonal anomalies before to years that looked amazing but ended up below avg snowfall...and there are some like 2000 where the pattern looks god awful and somehow we got above normal snow. There is a lot of luck and fluke to snowfall because there are so many variables. Sometimes a great pattern can fail to produce because one or two things don't come together...and other times an only OK pattern can luck its way into hitting a MECS. It's kinda like poker...having 3 aces makes your odds of winning the hand a LOT better...but someone else might have a full house! Just north of your area in SE PA but I always show how cyclical the snow patterns have been back to the 1890's...if you came of age in the 2000-2020 decades you are used to big snows almost every year..... TampaMan
Wonder how Matt DiNardo feels right about now. DT is probably chugging whiskey typing up his usual “models change and are not definite, I used the data I had at the time blah blah blah”. Nah bro, you did that solely for clicks.

This is great for trying to keep a business alive, not for snow. Even if the NAM throws a snow swath over us it’s never going to reach the ground! It’s bone dry. Would take half the day to moisten the column let alone fringe bands. It’s a dead deal! Depends on location as this is a large subforum. NWS is getting more bullish for mby today. stormy
Upfront, my 10:1 for tomorrow is 1.8. Kuchera is 3.3". The 18 z NAM stinks with calling for temperatures 10 degrees colder than witnessed. If this was accurate and continues, the 15:1 for tomorrow would not apply. 15:1 is only good for 25 degrees. How is it possible for the 3K and 12K NAM to miss surface temperatures 10 degrees in 6 hours????
