I was looking at the GFS and thinking that in a normal winter I’d be okay with where it’s at 3 days out. With the strengthening confluence and seasonal trend tho I imagine we’re toasted tho think 2-4” is salvageable for dc metro

I see that - still think it’s possible which is why I was defending that map as not insane. If I was making a map right now I’d have DC in the 1-2” range with RIC 4-8”… some iso 8-12” on the VA/delmarva beaches

Jebman
WXRisk has Dale City in 7 inches of snow. I'd take that. 29 inches on the season FTW!

I'm here to see free model runs that are posted, but at least once a yr I gotta call you amateurs out on your bs. Most of you are just geeks who cry every couple hours when a computer shits out something you don't like... it's the truth. I don't want any more snow, almost every property management company has busted their budget already. Need to get elon on that job too! Um. August I understand there wasn’t much involved in that response, but that is one of the greatest, well-timed, sarcastic responses I have ever seen on this forum. Bravo!! I DESPERATELY needed that laugh man. This year has been complete garbage so far for me, but it’s little things like this that can help unlock a strong laugh and smile. Thank you Hahaha I’m glad you could laugh at that. I know the storm fell apart but this forum took it pretty well and produced a lot of laughs. I hope things are looking better for you in the near future. Also, I had a similar reaction to you earlier when @Lowershoresadness dropped this gem. I couldn’t stop laughing in my car.

Miss Pixee
This is exactly why I don't get over emotional over digital snow. I'm not sure what the state of the technology is regarding weather system analysis but these wild swings are really ridiculous at this point. For all intents and purposes the maps may as well be wallpaper. And I don't need or want spring in Feb in a temperate climate. Not unless you're turned on by bugs, knats and mud because it's too early for the growing season. And everything smells funny until the green gets going. So, no. Spring comes regardless of snow amounts. Yeah its great fantasizing about mega storms until you have to dig out multiple cars on a steep driveway. Just playing in it is cool but moving it around isn't. And don't get me started on Pepco and their rates again. We get a mega storm and they'll be cracking open the champagne. Just sayin'...some practical things to consider beyond reacting to every "model". Best guess is Cuba gets the storm at this point.
