Cold Miser
I was in Boston overnight, and came home to water in the basement thanks to a shity site and non-drainage situation around the house, oh, and about 3" of waterand slush on top of the already frozen 60' x 40' driveway. Great stuff. Snow here was about 2.25"... still shy of @WinterWolfwinning our bet. I live to die another day. edit: I put this in the wrong thread. Mods feel free to move it to the weekend storm thread. 1
mahk_webstah
Is there some sort of mid-level low passing through Massachusetts? That’s enhancing this backend snow? Looks like a twist over Massachusetts.

WinterSnow
WUnderground was showing like five inches yesterday. Now not even half an inch. What a bummer. Reminds me of living in the south. MJO812
Rgem is well south . This is becoming a piece of shit storm. Another storm where it deamplifies at the last minute. We can't get a phased storm this winter . 1 2

The south hit me with one of the worst examples just a year before moving - Winter Storm Warning, projected 6-8 inches (fantastic for a storm that far south). Then the storm comes and, I kid you not, a pocket of warm air opens up almost solely over my county and creates a donut hole where it's raining while everywhere around gets the winter storm. I don't think even a single snowflake fell at my house that day. I'll post a picture of the radar. I don't live there anymore, anyway, so... Reveal hidden contents Growing up in the late 80s/early 90s it felt like I used to go to bed with 3-6 on the table on the 11pm news all the time. Would wake up and throw on Salty Bryne on WPRO hoping for school announcements and somehow the damn storm didn't materialize...sometimes at all. I literally had a single snow day from 6th grade through the end of high school in RI. Was a really DOA time for storms down here (and whatever did fall seemed to happen on weekends or vacations)
