Spanks45
I mean, it sort of reminds of how it used to be tracking coastal storms. GFS is ots, the CMC is amped, and the Euro is somewhere in the middle...then the JMA comes to break the tie. We shall see, might need to see how deep this weekend's system ends up and where it goes. The CMC is turning the cover 5 days from now...it really isn't that far off.

The key takeaway for me is there is a lot of room for error in regards to storm track. I think I would do really well even with the low going over the canal. The key is getting the storm close enough.

What I’m curious about is if a similar longwave pattern to the early Jan threat would work better now. Maybe shorter wavelengths will help? That happens later...need to be at least March. Occlusion could suppress the warm sector and produce light intermittent snows. When you see a model snowing when it shouldn’t that often what it’s telling you. Even a good run is bad Disrobing over d6 ideal solutions and jacks has never worked out well historically. I really hope I am wrong obv but a glancing blow is more plausible. Euro is typically too phase happy in the mid range.

Well, I mean we’d rather see that than it out at Bermuda and heading east. Do I believe it yet..no. But we are getting closer in now(5 days), which also isn’t in clown range anymore like it was back on Tuesday at 9 days. Fun to track at least at this point.

I hear ya, and feel ya…not buying yet either. The Euro has had a few big hits in a row now. It didn’t do that on 1/11. Canadian and Ukie too(ya they both blow)… JMA big hit too(are the Japs good at weather?) But we’ll see where we are come Sunday night.
