It is the 24” self propelled 2 stage.   So far I love the power.  Still miss the steering of my old Crapsman.  But holy cow does it throw the snow.  Way further than the old one.

get extra batteries.   That was the issue yesterday.  The density of the snow drained em. I had to swap them out a couple of times before I could finish.

how long do the batteries last, cleaning dense stuff? we just got a new ariens a couple years ago and went 28" 360cc, that thing blows the densest snow like 25', only thing I don't like is they switched the gears to opposite of the old one, so took a while to get used to that, overall nice machine, we debated getting an ego

I got a new Toro 2 years ago, would have got the EGO if I was buying this year but wasn't too confident in electric back then. My new one has the stick shift for the auger, hard to get used to that. Of course I haven't has that much practice last couple of years.

yeah I hear ya, the ariens also has a stick, only for the vertical shoot, what I don't like is to rotate the shoot, I have reach around and crank a handle, used to just have a linkage on the main controls I would rotate, that didn't need fixing, but I do enjoy the 0 radius turning, makes quick work on the driveway, a broken walk is tough though.

Yesterday they were lasting around 35 minutes.   It shoots the snow 50’.  I did have it on turbo mode so that probably drained it more quickly.

Not a snow picture however, this old truck ran for about 18 hours straight, got into the shop this morning. It was white like a salt lick for a deer! All equipment washed down.

I know what’s gonna happen. One of our accounts is gonna call and we’ll have to start the process over again.

I dont think anyone realizes just how good we have had it.  You get PF's posts.  Im 5 miles S.  slightly higher elev.  It just kept coming and this storm put us over the top.  I have been in this area since 87 minus a short stint for 3 years in methuen when it also snowed hard(2000-2003).  2006-2007 we had Valentines day and then its snowed till april.  And then the next winter even beat that.  This winter is beating both.  Its literally silly, my depth is 37 avergaged.  I have a board and i wipe it.  I got 16 inches.  But man its been nickel and dime the whole way but nonstop.  I only have 2 days where we went above freezing since around xmas. That shoveled path, you are walking on 2 ft of packed snow

Also a friend has goats living here, that shed is a trailer that the goats get transported in :)  and holds their hay

I think I'm around 20"-24" otg.  Being removed from the spine has reduced the amounts we've gotten compared to you guys.  Plenty of snow though and really the only fly in the ointment was that stretch just after Christmas that reduced my back yard to a few scraggly patches.  Other than that I've had snowcover since just before Thanksgiving.

Haha Sounds like it but I redid the windows in summer of 2023, they used to pass wind like a grandpa after a bean supper... the sound on the video was coming from the door just off-camera, which is on the list of fixes.  No end to the fun with a c1790 farmhouse!

The wind raked us all day, easily 50+ at times.  Another angle shows the speed pretty well:

These are the worst winter conditions since I think the winter of 2013. The gusting is unbelievable chunks of snow from the roof flying around.  Our house is on the top of a small hill surrounded by 30 acres of hayfield. The wind is insane. Snow blow the driveway with the tractor and we have not even 20 minutes before we can’t get our jeep down the driveway. The intensity of the wind and how long it’s been blowing is Not fun.
