I want to hang onto that 925 to 850 cold layer for al long as possible bc my low level have been gone since 8. It’s all that is preventing plane rain for me.

Yeah the cold rain is nasty. 33 and rain here off and on. Gonna be an epic glacier later tonight.

Not sure what the Weathertap radar is showing for up here, but the Wunderground radar is showing snow, but it's not.  Since I'm not hearing a lot of pinging, I'm guessing it's a mix of za and ip.  But that must be tough to do at 22*.

I'm sure the -SN obs at FIT and ASH aren't helping the ptype  algorithms. Even though it's really sleet with some snow grains

All quiet here, very brief period of sleet, back to snow, now stopped. Everyone in the neighborhood is snowblowing now... seems like a bad decision, leaving my snow so I can get rid of the snow, sleet and ZR is one shot...

Don’t know how it’s colder in southern ct than Mass. 32 here still accreting .35” radial.. still no power

It’s because east of ORH is east of the CF…you never got SE of CF and instead just latently heated your way to 32F from the ZR.

Its an east wind...I have the ocean in reasonably close proximity to my east, and you do not.

If this were December, I would be in the 40's by now.

Yeah gets close.  But man I can do without the monsoon.

Yeah lot of heavy rain over SE MA. We’re mostly missing it so far thank god. Had a quick band come through about 20 min ago.

Not gonna escape that slug in NJ though.

I'd love to get this storm out ASAP....hate to rain on a 14" pack.

Yeah drilling sleet still here. Looks like the CF is up around exit 4. It probably collapses late day/evening but it would be nice to avoid a ton of 33 rain.

Pack really does look solid, haven't had this much meat in one in a few years. This stuff was so dense it took out my mailbox off the plow.
