Connecticut Appleman Posted February 17 Share Posted February 17 I've got +/- 2 inches of solid ice on the driveway. Put 200 pounds of salt on it earlier and it is just laughing at me. Driveway is about 1/4 mile long and only really worrying on the inclines - we are about 60 feet below the road. For glare ice the best medicine might be wood ashes - might even be better than sand.
