not sure what County got but 20" seems unlikely

Most I found on cocorahs was 11.7" at Castle Hill, but they're forecasted for several more inches, so some storm totals might reach 15"+.

Here we got 6" of 12:1 powder thru 2 PM, followed by 7 hours of SN/IP (tiny critters) that added 1.5"/0.35" LE while pounding that first 6", then another 1.5"/0.12" back end.  Storm total came to 8.0"/0.97" LE, pack at 22".

We continue to chase residual tree damage and power outage events here in Burlington, CT... More sporadic than last evening but new reports popping up a few times an hour.  My 3 anemometers have been frozen since yesterday afternoon!  Davies show here...

I've got +/- 2 inches of solid ice on the driveway.  Put 200 pounds of salt on it earlier and it is just laughing at me.  Driveway is about 1/4 mile long and only really worrying on the inclines - we are about 60 feet below the road.

I teach salt application trainings for public works and well in this circumstance everything I preach will go out the window because I could not get out to the road right now if I had to.

For glare ice the best medicine might be wood ashes - might even be better than sand.  Of course, most places allow homeowners to get sand from the town's sand/salt shed while the ash requires an even more local woodstove.
