I don’t think I’ll be below freezing by the time the next batch of precip gets here, but this was a good one.

I’m leaving the sleet on top so it’ll snowblow easier. 17.9F S+ Vis 1/4 I was thinking of that but my snowblower may not be able to hande it if it is too much. Just puking snow right now. Do you think we flip back to snow at the end of the storm?
WinterSnow
Wonder what this could have been if it had stayed snow. When I took my dog out around 9 pm it was nice fluffy snow on the ground, but now it's a crunchy mess. My apartment's parking lot is just solid ice. Ugh.
tavwtby
what are the odds we all flip back to SN on the back end, or is that going straight up to Montreal?

weatherwiz
Wouldn't be surprised to see a TOR within southern NJ today. May even see a decent amount of lightning working northeast across SNE 1

I haven't gotten above 27, not sure when we flipped here but it was snowing at 11 when I went to bed, assume not long after, it'd be a mess if we got ZR and then some fluff on top of that. #NoPoles
Pretty decent snow band has moved in. The biggest change is the wind has really picked up now.

ORH_wxman
The worst part is I had to dig out the mailbox manually. Drive belt or wheel got messed up on snow blower and it wouldn’t move this morning. Talk about bad timing.
HoarfrostHubb
First time I wasn’t able to finish my driveway before the batteries were depleted on the EGO. My older set wasn’t charged (I forgot to take care of that) so I’m taking a break. Dense stuff even though it’s 99% snow

Had around 5”…went to bed and cleared when we had close to 3” and then woke up and another 2” new….total new depth though with compaction is about 3.5-4”….super super dense and meaty with the sleet and poor snow growth in there.

dendrite
1 hour ago, Spanks45 said: Temp up to 31.1⁰ now....decent amount of ice on everything. Maybe a 0.25" of accretion? There was a lot of sleet at something which cut down the ice numbers for sure. Keep in mind you’re supposed to average both sides for radial ice. So you’d want to half that…1/8”. 1

I knew there was some odd rules for that....I recall better ice years back, the sag on the trees is impressive at the moment...otherwise, I have seen worse
