It is pretty awesome out, wait til later 1-1.5" of rain 30-50mph winds on top of the glacier with temps between 33-35

With the freeze coming later tonight.

I don’t think I’ll be below freezing by the time the next batch of precip gets here, but this was a good one.

It’s mixing here and there. There’s some pings hitting the pellet stove pipe, but it’s mostly snow. I’m leaving the sleet on top so it’ll snowblow easier.

17.9F  S+ Vis 1/4 I was thinking of that but my snowblower may not be able to hande it if it is too much.  Just puking snow right now.   Do you think we flip back to snow at the end of the storm?

I see that band over you with the bright yellows. That is awesome.

HRRR has it for you, wouldn't be much but it's possible

depends on how quick the primary transfer I guess? I haven't gotten above 27, not sure when we flipped here but it was snowing at 11 when I went to bed, assume not long after, it'd be a mess if we got ZR and then some fluff on top of that.

Your area probably never gets to freezing

It’s been all sleet since about my last post. And yeah, you may flip back to snow before it finishes.

How much did we get down there?

I'm going to go shovel here as soon as we change to sleet--hopefuly will make it a little easer later on.

Had around 5”…went to bed and cleared when we had close to 3” and then woke up and another 2” new….total new depth though with compaction is about 3.5-4”….super super dense and meaty with the sleet and poor snow growth in there.

Temp up to 31.1⁰ now....decent amount of ice on everything. Maybe a 0.25" of accretion? There was a lot of sleet at something which cut down the ice numbers for sure.

Keep in mind you’re supposed to average both sides for radial ice. So you’d want to half that…1/8”.

I knew there was some odd rules for that....I recall better ice years back, the sag on the trees is impressive at the moment...otherwise, I have seen worse
