About a quarter inch of sleet on top of the 5" of snow now. It's been mostly sleet here for the last two hours, but there have been very brief periods where it has gone back to snow...but usually only lasting a minute or two. Still no freezing rain at this location yet. Temp holding at 24F.

I don’t understand why all the offices didn’t coordinate on the wind. I mean it’s not going to be windier in NJ than CT and RI. Yet they have HWW in all their zones . They just rarely make any sense

ya I noticed it's just a hole from CT to RI and parts SEMASS in the warnings, the wind knows lmao.. I think it should be uniform either advisories or warnings..

Sleeting pretty good here with flakes mixed in.  Now comes the question that happens with everyone of these type systems.  How long do I wait to clear the driveway?

If I’m snowblowing down there I’d be tempted to wait until it’s over otherwise the driveway will be a skating rink. Definitely wait until it’s gone from sleet to zr. That sleet will sit there forever.

In the grand scheme it doesn’t matter because everyone rips 50-60, but it’s just super confusing to the general public and makes zero sense

Some of that wind down there is for this evening. Unless you plan on fully warm sectoring you’re not mixing down what they are.
