Took a Jebwalk with the kid. It's beautiful out! Up to 5" but pretty sure I heard sleet starting.

Seems like every elevated surface has flash frozen. An unusually high number of property damage accidents regionwide.

Already tapering off and it looks like 1.25.  That makes two WSWs for 3-5" and 3-6" and we get 1.5 or less both times.  I have yet to see heavy snow rate in any storm.  What an awful winter

Yea, it’s unfortunately a total bust up here so far. Just looked outside…hardly snowing…may wait on my stroll lol

For northern MD and southern PA, the h7 forcing is actually over us now. But there isn’t enough moisture transport to activate the banding. If we can just get that next wave in WV to get decent deep moisture up here tonight it’s not impossible we get a decent band. But I’m skeptical. The trajectory isn’t good.

on the other hand, however, i'm on track for 7", as the kuchera on the 3k NAM is exactly what I have. DC is getting pummeled.

Milton did really well on storm a month ago. It’s a Sussex County year in Delaware. Silver Lake was beautiful with all the ice two weeks ago

Hopeful sign on radar - some backfilling out at front royal heading right up this way. Maybe that helps me hold the rates more or less at least through midnight or early morning hours

I've noticed that if you use the 0.5 degree Correlation Coefficient view, you can sometimes get a preview of what's crossing the mountains, especially in the winter when you're looking for new precip to blossom west of I-81.
