Steady light snow has been falling here for 3 hours.  0.5” on the board.  Watching that stuff developing in SE Ohio for later.

Yeah I’m seeing that back edge pressing SE, not sure if it will slow down or backfill. So idk

Mod-heavy under brighter returns here inside the DC beltway. Roads still just wet, but everything else rapidly whitening. Getting pretty fast while it's still bright outside.  Aiming for 4"

I’m already outside the snow completely. So slowing or backfill won’t even help I’d need it to press back north and not seeing any indication of that.  I kinda had a sinking feeling the last 24 hours how this was headed though so this isn’t the gut punch it could have been.  I’ve seen these west to east waves enough to know this trajectory is bad for the northern fringe areas.

Here at Little River Tpk and Braddock Rd, temp has finally dropped to 32, rates are moderate and roads are caving. On to 5/6"

I think 4" is doable.  Might struggle to 6 I think....

Aim higher.  We have radar that looks good and good temp and 6+ hours of snow.

Yeah, should have said more. Aiming for 4" for minimum satisfaction level (no "bust").  Very happy with 5-6", impressed with more than that.  It's ripping right now so feeling confident.

Not sure it’ll help too much but you can see a surge north on radar the past few frames.

Sitting on the deck enjoying a Bell’s under my ‘fry light’.  This is why I track…watching the familiar landscape morphs into something different and white, and quiet, so quiet…until the snowplow comes by and the snowblowers crank…but that’s later!
