arlwx12
Just about all the DC-area schools are either closed or using remote learning, except for Frederick MD currently 2-hour delay but will reevaluate by 7. The Feds are on a two-hour delay/unscheduled leave or telework, Andrews a two-hour delay, Forts Belvoir and Meade "closed".

snowfan
Measured 5” on the mark. That makes for the second snowfall this season of 5” or more. Not bad for AA Co. Still need a few more inches to hit climo on the season.
North Balti Zen
1 hour ago, CAPE said: Its pretty now. Lots of shoveling to do before it gets too wet and heavy. Not looking forward to the half inch of rain that will fall into it later. Then more rain this weekend. My driveway is going to become a mess. Cleanup of heavy snow definitely less ideal, that is true. Got 2.5” and just cleared the driveway in about 10 minutes so score one for always being fringed lol…

MN Transplant
I’ll measure a bit later, but I’ll say that one oddity is that I’ve never had so much snow with absolutely no wind. The fact that there are clear patches under the table and chairs is amazing.

I'm eyeballing at least 6". Ive reached climo here. It's been a fantastic winter so far. Let's keep it going! I’m only a few inches from climo imby and we may have another shot by next weekend. This winter has exceeded many expectations. 3

Has Woodbridge to Fredericksburg ever NOT been in the bullseye with this thing? That type of long run hit is what we all wish for. Congrats guys enjoy the snow. donsutherland1
Washington, DC picked up 6.3" of snow. This was the second 6" or above snowstorm this winter. The last time that happened was Winter 2013-2014.

Obv there is compaction but I didn't do the snowboard thing so I will report what's otg. A bit of a visual overestimate. I went out and measured before starting to shovel off the deck. 8.5". That is some pretty heavy snow. It was 30 when snowing, temp up to 31 now.

Lucketts
30 with light flurries. 4” total in Lucketts. Roads between Leesburg and McLean are in excellent shape. Once you get to McLean, it’s the typical mess as they rarely do a good job when it comes to snow.

WxUSAF
Measured a fresh 1” on the snowboard so 4.4” total. Had some good dendrites overnight so probably lost a little to compaction. Very light flurries now.

Apparently on FB Bob got spooked by the Hrrr and said the warnings for DC might need to be reduced to an advisory and was calling bust. I was in CP, so don't know the final total for my hood, but according to my wife last night before bed, we had a little over 4.5", so likely touched 5.5-6" when looking back at radar. Solid storm again for our neck of the woods. WAY over climo now at my 16' of elevation lol 1
