I see some high clouds to the SW as I look across the lowlands. LFG! This is the pretty tree storm.

Seems a bit early for OBS but who knows.

I am happy to report that I just drove by LWX on the way to lunch a minute ago and the radar looks to be all buttoned up, and appears functional again on the apps.  They got that knocked out relatively fast for a pedestal issue - their notes said they were hoping for late afternoon, and it's been up for at least an hour.

I think our zone (SE Howard) is probably the farthest north they’d consider upgrading at this point?

before the Feb 11-12 thread was shut down, there was an undercurrent or perhaps just plain current of "this is going to be a bust."  Now I am stressed. That is my only observation, and that it is sunny out.

We always do this.  It also works as a new thread to continue discussing the storm.

Don't stress over it. In fact now that we're right up on it I'd suggest stepping away from the thread and letting whatever falls fall! That's certainly what I'm thinking about doing, lol

Snow forecast for February 11-12... lots of uncertainties with precip types on the south end and QPF amounts on the north end, and some areas could suffer rate issues during the afternoon. As a result, forecast confidence isn't that great.

Eh I'm mostly a lurker, but occasionally I'll see notice something interesting and contribute lol.

I like it here, only thing missing is Snobol saying every storm will suck.
