sbnwx85
I think IWX goes with Winter Storm Watch(es?) overnight to cover the system and lake effect/wind. GRR may well do the same. Areas that don’t hit warning criteria from the system should get there thanks to the lake and the winds will be enough of an impact to justify it anyway. Both the HRRR and NAM have gusts over 30 knots on Sunday.

ChiTownSnow
CMC seemed to have a good handle on the WAA thump that came through for Chicago area.. it does have it ramp up a bit quicker to give us hope for tomorrow

TheNiño
Yet another overachiever here in SE Wisconsin. Can’t really get a good measurement but that was a nice dumping. Visibility was around 1/4mi for a good hour at least.

fluoronium
The WAA hit was more impressive than I expected it to be here. It's not often I get solid snow rates with ripping SE winds. It's too bad it didn't last very long though.

If it was moving slower we easily could of got 2-4in.
KeenerWx
Taken literally, GFS would be somewhat of a heartbreaker locally. Things really get going about 15 miles east. But this is well within margin and tbh, I'm already satisfied given tonight's performance. Went in with the expectation of ~2" total. Tonight delivered on that. Whatever we get on top is gravy. nvck
Snows yet to start here, but looking forward to the potential for over a foot of snow OTG when this is all said and done, would easily be the most I can ever remember seeing.
CorePunch
The GFS slaps Detroit with nearly 15” over the next 36hrs. Been a hot minute since the city has seen that.

Powerball
Models are pretty much in 2 camps now for SE MI. One shows *ONLY* 4-6", and then there's the other camp that shows widespread double digit amounts. On the plus side, there aren't any duds.

Stevo6899
Don't think I've ever seen the whole state of Michigan under an advisory except for four counties in the UP, counties that seem to always be under an advisory for lake effect.
