The system moving south of us tonight did come north but not far enough unless you live on the islands.

I could see someone pulling 2 or 3" on the islands if things break right. Maybe an inch here if we can tick this a few miles more north today.

convergence at 700mb is nice, but I guess we also need to worry about dry air at 850

At the very least you should see some flakes. I was driving around for work yesterday and there were flakes in the air all day.

Euro along with some other guidance has been pushing north for over night tonight...Euro has some banding on the northern edge. Not much, but 1-3 for areas that have 4 inches as their biggest storm this year...why not, may just nickel and dimebour way to average before all is said and done. Snow on snow is always a plus for us in lower SNE.

Has the precip getting over most of CT...but not sure how much of that would be virga, with all the dry air around...Definitely the southern 3rd of the state will have an annoying amount for the morning commute

Looking at GFS and Euro for 12z I think this is pretty spot on, hopefully the 3-5 inches we get is more dense snow, no more of this super fluffy nonsense. Of course been watching storms go south for a while, now the best goods are north. Hopefully Sunday is the Goldilocks just right.

Yeah ...  you get a micron of freezing rain and that's enough for someone to do a George Jetson on the walkway outside of town hall, in which case they're either sewing municipality,  ... or ending up on FHV hoping to cash-in that way.   Yup, one way or another, someone's gonna pay whenever an American's idiocy gets them to slip and fall on their ass

Not overly exciting but may need to watch for OES pushing east to west tomorrow afternoon/evening ahead of the main system....flow comes onshore and it's pretty cold in that 900-925 range with temps between -8C and -10C in that layer....so easily supports OES ice crystals. A few spots could see a C-1" type thing.
