Also pretty laughable with ILX tossing up that WSW For the Peoria area.

I never did understand that. The runs before they upgraded overnight were already showing significantly lower amounts. Even an advisory is a stretch for this in most areas.

if you get enough forcing/upward motion to tap into the DGZ then you get really good rates, otherwise it's very blah.  We'll get about 3-4 more hours of better forcing here through 7-8 PM, though we may end up just on the northern edge of things

That's the truth. After our first push today, we went to needles. When the good returns moved back overhead later, back came the good flakes. Speaking of, getting another one of those right now. Measured 2.8" when I got home from work, so we'll beat the season high event of 3.0". I'll take it.

The forecast here has been fairly steady showing 20+ cm or 9". The first snow is starting now. I had blue skies and sun for a few hours this morning, then by early aft the sky was a different hue as if it had just rained heavy like I see in warmer times. I've been waiting for the first synoptic winter storm - its been years here too.

Your area should do well. Upwards of 12" or 30cm is possible. A lot of blowing snow possible tomorrow too.

Maybe I can get a bit of lake enhancement, WUN lowered me to 19cm but TWN increased to 25-30+. The highest winds start as the storm winds down 30km/h sustained.
