Just north and west of me did better. Wonder how Flint / Lansing / Battle Creek line had an area of snow for a good couple hours. Going to be interesting to see all the reports as I expect there is going to be quite the range of results in the end.

Yeah the models had the snow starting there earlier it's going to be interesting to see the low develop next few hours for detroit area.
mississaugasnow
2" and in the dry slot right now. I was thinking Id see 3-5" before freezing rain and light rain for a few hours so on track. Temps at 23F
sbnwx85
2.2" on top of the cars in the parking lot. 4" in the grass. Take your pick. Edit: I'll get an accurate measurement when I get home tonight.
hlcater
Sounds like dendrites/ratios where a big problem for a lot of people outside the primary axis of snowfall but out here we had good flakes for the majority of the day. I'll take measurements in a bit as snow continues to taper but I'd estimate at least 7-8" in Iowa City. The axis of heavier snowfall was a lot narrower than forecast of which the dry slot in IL is probably partly to blame, but elsewhere I gotta wonder if just poor lift/dry air in the DGZ causing ratios to not pan out the reason for underperforming.
homedis
Rockin with some big flakes now in West Town! Hope this phase is an over performer after earlier today’s under performer.

Chicago Storm
This second round of forcing is moving through fairly quickly, but there is some nice banding. Currently +SN 1/4SM here at ORD.

Definitely a side of me hoping the developing low shown by the models was going to help our area today do better but it 'seems' organization was slower. DocATL
Around 2 inches in Naperville. I-55/I-88 dry slotted for about 5 hours. Sigh. 2025, the year of 5 nickels and 2 dimes.

It's going as planned and still a long ways to go, atleast on the east side. Definitly nothing substantial tho. Better than nothing I suppose. TheNiño
We’ve actually done ok here. Am I allowed to be satisfied or is that against the rules? I kid I wish this system panned out better for the region. I just happened to be in a lucky spot.
nwohweather
Definitely a side of me hoping the developing low shown by the models was going to help our area today do better but it 'seems' organization was slower. Yeah this is disappointing to see how things are struggling to fill in. It doesn’t help there’s a nice tornado outbreak to the south

When there are tons of tstorms, like there are, it disrupts the moisture transport to the northern part and we get this blotchy radar look.
