Saw a bunch of geese today (50+)...the black and gray ones, pecking into a field of grass. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing? Are they pecking because bad weather is coming (freeze,snow) or are they pecking because spring is right around the corner?

It certainly looks and feels like snow is on the way, but then looking at the radar it does look all that impressive. 

I noticed the HRRR and the NAM/NAM nest narrowing the precipitation shield especially farther south like in the Philly metro area with it completely ending faster south of there. Radar trends so far seem to be showing that evolution so far. Time will tell.

Some flakes starting to fly here in EN temp 29.5 DP 12.7....sounds like mainly IP/ZR already in Southern Chesco - so this will go over to slop pretty quickly. Winter Event #10 in our busy winter weather event season underway!

28.9 Sleet and Freezing rain here in sw Lehigh County. No flakes at all. Started all sleet, then went nearly all freezing rain, now more sleet. Nowcasting looks like a pretty good mixed event.

Wel another forecast down the crapper. Solid sleet.  No snow here in macungie. Just like i said earler, the late start has destroyed the  snow forecast. Get ready for a possible ice storm update and thundersleet

Mix of sleet and snow in Nazareth.  Fat flakes.  Roads caved immediately but aren't slippery.

 

ETA: Mostly snow now that we're in the darker radar returns.  Expecting to go back to all sleet in an hour or so.

 

ETA2: Back to 50/50 sleet and snow.  The mix is changing every few minutes.  No ZR at least.  25.3°F.  Temp has dropped 3 degrees since precip started, still falling.

Surprisingly, sleet just started here around 7:25 pm at 32F (wet bulb temp ~26F) and we have a little dusting already - thought it would start later here, but a slug of precip on the radar hit here early.
