Can you imagine not having power or cable TV for the SuperBowl? I guess plan B would be to drive to a location that had no ice issues.

I'm in Montgomery County so I'm officially on record as not wanting any ice.

Not a fan of ice either, been through some bad ones out here in Berks, looks like a bit of snow then sleet fest with minimal freezing rain.

I think most sports bars or larger bars have backup generators. Worst case scenario, and not a bad one, listen to Merrill and Mike....

Going 2-4” for the Lehigh Valley tomorrow. But I won’t be there…I’m in Philly officiating a college tennis tournament.

Last match is at 2 pm Sunday and should last about 2-3 hours. Perfect timing to head downtown afterwards and find a Super Bowl watch party.

12z NAM gives ABE less than an inch of snow and sleets like crazy on us. HRRR is mostly snow with 6”. This storm starts today. Oh how I love this hobby…

The HRRR struggles mightily with mid level warming.....always lean to the NAM in these cases

I'm going with less than an inch of snow then crap fest. Most times these things always change over faster than predicted...

This is the truth! But I do kind of suspect a bit more accumulation of snow/sleet (mainly sleet) today vs the 0.3" on Thursday

It's got to be better snow wise than Thursday I would think? I didn't receive squat in snow on Thursday. A inch or more would be a bonus today then maybe a couple hours of sleet. My expectations aren't too high...

Maybe it is just me but looking at the radar everything to our southwest seems to be moving  almost due east. When is the precip going to turn NE?

Expand

It’s not going to “turn” but rather “break out”. Radar should start to blossom around 6pm or so.

I would expect the same as Thursday… that’s what it’s looking like honestly…

Literally, the only way it could be worse than Thursday is if nothing fell at all. There was no snow, limited sleet and freezing rain that didn't really freeze on thursday. A real non-event.

They are going way overboard laying down salt in parking lots this afternoon. I mean way over..no need.
