lot of precip types in my forecast, plain rain isn't mentioned until saturday overnight

Saturday
A slight chance of snow before 1pm, then snow, freezing rain, and sleet between 1pm and 4pm, then freezing rain and sleet after 4pm. High near 30. Calm wind becoming southeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday Night
Freezing rain, possibly mixed with sleet before 10pm, then rain or freezing rain between 10pm and 1am, then a chance of rain after 1am. Low around 27. Southeast wind 5 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New ice accumulation of 0.1 to 0.2 of an inch possible. New sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Ya like I said though the models don’t show any plain rain so idk why it’s even in the forecast lol

I hear this all the time. I've been in ice storms and when it pours you can almost see the trees turning white and sagging. I remember in I think 1993 we had a real ice storm. Only one I've ever seen that didn't melt at the end of the storm. I remember 18 degrees and pouring rain. The cold snap that followed kept the trees coated for about a week. It was beautiful. That cold shot was the coldest I've ever seen in this area. 

That must have been 1994. Damn near every storm that winter was ice, very little snow. January 19 only reached 8 at DCA after a low of -4!!
