If only we could see this again. It was just a few months before I moved up here... I just want to see a double digit snowstorm. Coming up from the south, I haven't seen one since early 2011. My luck that one would happen right before I moved up here, even during a winter that everyone up here considered to have no snow.

Will tonight's storm even produce more than 4 inches? Crossing my fingers.

Thanks Seymour…hope it plays out that way. Was hoping for a solid 6”er anyway.  A little more would be highly accepted.

Great posting btw on the lead up with this event.

Thanks man. We’ve been dead nuts on this one once the euro came in line. Enjoy a Very snowy SB sunday.

The thread title reflects the fact that I grew up around Philadelphia and as an eagle fan way back to veterans Stadium and when they were the worst team in the league. My father had season tickets. Football, just like snow, creates excitement, but has no guarantees. I am feeling hopeful About the Eagles, but also about the snow. And the negativity in this regional forum was getting ridiculous so I wanted to create a title that reflected my hope for the Eagles and my hope and expectation for what was going to happen with this storm. If you look at the thread title and my initial post, if it plays out like it looks like it will, this thread is a rocking right on thread.

I like the reasoning…now let’s snow tonight!

The HRRR qpf output looks much more like CMC/Euro AI.

Interesting battle.

I’m not following here. All I’ve read for days is how slam dunk and easy the forecast was for this. Straight forward. Now some models have backed off there’s a battle setting up between them?

That might be tops if someone gets lucky, can see 10 inches though.

Depends on ratios. They aren’t getting over an inch of QPF but someone could fluff bomb their way to a foot if they get 0.6”-ish and near 20 to 1.

Im expecting only a little better than 10 to 1 in pike region…early on with the initial WAA burst we might get some decent snow growth but then I think it’s going to turn into baking powder. Maybe we go 12 to 1 average or so.
