Wxtrix
everything was glazed and now everything is just wet and the ice is falling from the trees. ice storms are totally worthless weather. 1
87storms
My car is still mostly glazed over and obviously trees, etc. Certainly a minor icing event here. Pavement is just wet.

WEATHER53
More icing here than I thought when went to bed at midnight. At 8am had about 1/10th-1/5th” ice on windshield and tree limbs with patches on concrete where full shade. By 11::30am now ice is off cars, still on tree branches and nothing on ground surfaces. 35F

dailylurker
As I'm cruising around my area I'm noticing something interesting. The ice seems elevation dependent. The high area (180' plus the trees) still have a lot of ice. The areas under 150' have nothing left. Their must of been a cold layer about 2000' thick and sitting right above the surface. Above 2000' was the warm layer is my guess.

Just got out of bed and got my day going after finishing my last night shift (Woot!) This was actually a blessing around the lowlands. We definitely needed this rain so I’ll take it. Thin layer of ice on elevated surfaces this morning, but roads and sidewalks just wet. I’ll accept. We could be a little dicey on Saturday. Have to see how it plays out. 2

clskinsfan
Cars and trees iced up this morning. Now 47 degrees. Certainly not ice storm warning level out this way. But better safe than sorry I suppose.

Stuck at 32.4 This did indicate a temp problem Those incredible freezing rain totals were so off base. Did Anyone get to 0.3” accumulated? Up here in Frederick it’s still cold and 38F

Yeah... pine trees do not do well in the ice. I know first hand about them.
