High 24, Low 12 2" snow sleet light crust from a bit of freezing drizzle earlier. I guess we did pretty well for the area. We've had a solid cover (except in some really sunny spots and south facing slopes) for two weeks now. Today whitened it all up. Expect a to do a little better Saturday night/Sunday morning. It has actually felt/looked  like winter this year, so I won't complain about snow amounts.

Bit of a cold tuck pressing into NE MA now. Some of the areas the hit 32-33 may have a quick drop shortly

Slowly sinking south. We got to 31 but then now back to 28.5…but the real cold tuck is a little north just north of Sudbury and between 495 and 128 where it’s dropping into the low/mid 20s. Should try to push a little more in the next couple hours before weakening.

Crusty?

We had avoided any surface candy coating through 4pm.  But it was misting a bit at like 19F lol.  Small droplet mid-level dry slot stuff in a WAA system.  Was getting on your goggles but hadn’t impacted the snow at all.

Hopefully it stays that way.  Looks like the threat is gone after 12-2am when winds turn westerly again.

It’s slightly inverted on the hill with the WAA aloft… 22F at 3,600ft and 18F at 1,500ft.

Was up there at last chair to do due diligence on the weather/snow obs front, ha.  Sensation Quad was the highest lift running with FourRunner and Gondola going on wind hold in the afternoon.

The wind was hammering up here in the dry slot after the thump brought 3”.

Very stormy end of day.  Snow had largely stopped but the wind was phenomenal.  Photos don’t do the noise justice, ha.  The 3” of snow was leading to firm 12-18” drift spines right down the trails off Big Spruce.  Getting dark, winter storm vibes.

4.5” looks like it’s winding down, Fits my 3-5” call, Going to go clean it up here shortly.

2.6" here at 9, might get another tenth or 2, so not quite into the 3-5 range.  The 11:1 ratio was closer to the usual, after 3 events with ratios over 20:1.  Today's temp was 11/-14, one of the colder snowy days in recent years.

Got that 'nother tenth.  Snow burst (little wind) dumped 0.5" in <10 minutes, centered on 8:50 this morning.  Visibility dropped to <1/8 mile.  Another flurry (0.1") while I was out shopping.

I didn't measure here (I would've slant-sticked) but it was a solid 3.5-4".  Plowed "bigger" than the last two storms.  I got a little over zealous with the SxS clearing the drive and got the blade locked in a right tilt just as I finished up.  We jumped from the SxS into the car and raced down to Methuen for a pre-planned thing and had a neat weather experience:

Roads were a mess from home to the Hampton tolls.  Snow-covered the whole way looked almost like they didn't plow.  About a half mile from the tolls we see someone racing up 95N - wife and look at each and as we're saying "He's gonna wreck!" we both said "Hey!  That side is just wet!"  Temps went from 26 just before the tolls, to 28 and wet roads in Seabrook, to 34 at 495.  My PWS stayed below 25 through about 6am this morning.  The warmth never got up here.

After ripping the heater and dash out of the SxS today I found it was just a blown fuse preventing accessory power from angling the plow.  All fixed and ready for the next round tomorrow night!
