moneypitmike
This is moving super quick. Probably 2-3 hours of 1"/hr and then call it a day. My office closed---wimps!

At least around here, I don’t think so. The heaviest stuff will probably be brief, but they have precipitation in the form of freezing drizzle going into the evening. But pretty rare to see it so cold just before snow breaks out. Idk…feel like we used to get one of these each winter with temps near 0F as precip breaks out. We’ve had some good SWFEs over the past couple of decades that were pounding S+ with negatives at 2m.

It didn't matter the size of the storm, it seemed West Hartford got the roads clear down to bare cement...meanwhile, you went to Hartford...DISASTER. I always got a kick out of right along the town line...West Hartford side, spotless, Hartford side...disaster. Exactly! Longmeadow or East Longmeadow spotless.....Springfield...forget it What you described in West Hartford, I grew up with in Bristol CT

They are awesome at one level, but you don’t really wanna stay out in it for very long. I think it was the winner of 2013 and 14 maybe where we had a heavy storm with temperatures in the very low single digits. you’re too young to talk about the good old days. It’s gonna be very deep winter here by Monday morning, and we’ll probably keep adding to it even if we get fringed. At some point, they’ll probably be another couple moderate or large storms by March. Been a while since we’ve had this kind of winter, at least the second half. I’m home all the time now with the babies and mostly just focused on the babies and eating and the gym so I’m really able to enjoy the winter unfolding.

Sey-Mour Snow
.5” big flakes and heavy snow moving in , hoping to hit 1.5” before changeover is complete / snow winning out currently
jbenedet
Get to see by radar just how shallow the cold is which is pretty cool. Not an isentropic lift setup; holes in the precip. If you went more aggressive with snowfall amounts, probably a good time to shave some off.
LSC97wxnut
Bah. It was supposed to be a 1/2 day today in Newton and since the kids would be going home during the "height" of the storm, they've cancelled school. I mean, the radar looks ok, but thing seems to be hauling right along.
