I can't imagine he won't, plus Holliday and Mayo should both be better. I think we win between 88-92 games.

90 wins I think would be a safe bet. Should be enough for a WC spot (would have been the top WC spot last season). Now, the biggest question is: Can the O's break the postseason losing streak?

In the 2 seasons under Hyde, outside of Game 2 of the ALCS in 2023 where the O's lost 11-8, they have scored a total of 4 runs in those 4 losses.

The good news is Bradish and Wells should be back by August and hopefully they will give us a huge boost in the postseason.

Can they hit? Pitching wasn't the downfall last year. If you give up 3 runs in 2 games, and only 1 XBH, you can't ask for much more than that from your pitching. I mean Cowser broke his hand swinging at a pitch that hit him.

I mean every guy in their lineup had very little experience outside Santander, Mullins and Rutschman. Santander sucked and I'm not sad he is gone. Mullins was our best hitter in the playoffs, and Rutschman had to be injured. With everyone a year older i think it will make a big difference.

My God, the incessant whining and complaining in the medium range thread is annoying and just plain useless!  Come on!  OK, yeah, we're all going ga-ga over the latest GFS showing 12-18" snow and some of the earlier model runs that showed similar amounts.  Then people get all sad-faced and worried when the Euro or some other model, or the next cycle, shows "only" 4-8" and perhaps some potential for ice mixing in there.  THAT'S STILL SOLID WARNING LEVEL!  The fact is, guidance thus far is coming into agreement for a warning-level snow next Tue-Wed.  Really, that's about all we should care about and focus on at this point.  I'd love to see these crazy amounts in excess of a foot.  But I'm not going to whine if it's "less" than that but still a solid warning.

Now, I can't speak to what the GFS totals were as I was somewhere where I couldn't see that. I just didn't want to see a trend to a 2-4" deal because of that low. But I guess that added to the whining, lol

5 day limits would help a lot over there.

Wow looks like Mammoth has gotten about 8-12 inches already, they just upped today's totals to 19!!

https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/main-lodge

That place is getting totally DEMOLISHED! It's been steady state torrential snow all day long.

Meanwhile in other news today......... South Central Texas hit 84 again along with a delightful 69 degree dewpoint. I was out having the times of my life pulling weeds and grasses in the yard. Some of the grasses in my moms yard are over a foot tall ---- and the mower is on the fritz.

One other item - models have been hinting at another snow event in the Mid Atlantic, and you guys are gonna get it. Get those shovels and snowblowers ready. Winter ain't over yet in the Mid Atlantic!

When you all see this, YOU BETTER STOCK UP, on IPAs, tons of food, beer and a good supply of shovels and snowblowers.

One way I know you are about to get obliterated by snow. It's gonna turn very cold down here in South Texas, too. The Pattern is changin, and the Mid Atlantic is going to get buried alive. In deep, frigid snows.
