One thing I've been thinking about unlike the January snows where temps were in the teens and 20s after we will probably be in the upper 30s after whatever falls next week. Even if we get a big dog i bet the January snow will have lasted on ground longer.

I agree. If you missed the January 6th event and long duration snow pack you are probably out of luck for a period of deep winter this season. I think we have a flood potential if we do get a big storm next week. It will likely be followed by warm, heavy rains unlike the January event. I feel lucky to have scored so well in that event. IMO that was the event of the season for the lowlands.

Had more injuries than i care to count, but my knee and big toe still hurt me to this day.

I've def had more ankle sprains than I can count.  One thing I like about mountain biking is it's less impact and probably (at times) more HIIT.  I don't get the same competitive energy, but it helps cancel out a few slices of pizza.

I tried biking but never enjoyed it. Basketball if you’re good at it,  is an amazing sport to play. Now that I’m too old to play i put the pizza at the end of the treadmill and try to reach it.

On a more uplifting note:

"February 5th is National Weatherperson's Day.

The day commemorates the birth of John Jeffries in 1744. Jeffries, one of Americas first weather observers, began taking daily weather observations in Boston in 1774 and he took the first balloon observation in 1784.

This is a day to recognize the men and women who collectively provide Americans with the best weather, water, and climate forecasts and warning services of any nation."
